The Kent/Sisler Scholarship

Each year the Naval Academy Parents Club of Long Island presents the Kent/Sisler Memorial Scholarship Awards to two graduating students from Kings Park High School. These scholarships are presented at the Kings Park High School's Annual Awards Ceremony in memory of Edward P. Kent and William E. Sisler and have been in existence for over 25 years.

William Sisler attended Kings Park High School and upon graduation received an offer of appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Both of these fine young men lost their lives in a tragic boating accident off the coast of Kings Park, Long Island in June of 1981.
